What filter size does the Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG DN Art take?

The Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG DN Art takes 72mm screw-in filters — its front filter thread is 72mm. Any standard 72mm UV, polarizer or ND filter screws straight on.

The Sony E version of this lens takes the same 72mm thread.

L-Mount lenses that share the 72mm thread

Buy one good set of 72mm filters and it also fits:

• Sigma 50mm f/1.2 DG DN Art — 50mm f/1.2
• Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG DN Art — 50mm f/1.4

Screw-in filters are mount-agnostic — 29 verified lenses on other mounts also take 72mm: see every 72mm lens.

A step-up ring also lets a 72mm lens use one size-larger filters, which is how many photographers standardize a single filter set across lenses.

Thread sizes verified 2026-09-03 against per-mount lens specification tables and, where no such table exists (L-mount), the manufacturers’ own published specification pages, matched brand-strictly to our lens index. Lenses whose thread we could not uniquely verify are left out rather than guessed — coverage grows as verified data lands.
